Catawba Queen Riverboat & Lazy 5 Ranch

Enjoy a sight-seeing cruise on beautiful Lake Norman aboard the Catawba Queen, a replica of a Mississippi riverboat.  The Catawba Queen will transport you back in time to those nostalgic days when paddlewheelers cruised America's rivers.  After lunch (on your own) in the Mooresville area, we will head to the Lazy 5 Ranch.  The ranch features 400 animals from around the world.  On your 3 1/2 mile safari through the gently sloping pasturelands, you will experience animals from six continents.  Be sure to bring your camera.  This is a drive-through experience unique in North Carolina.  There is no other collection of animals like this in the Southeast.  Henry Hampton has more than 25 years experience working with animals from around the world.  He and his family have a lot of respect for God's creatures.  And that is reflected in the Hampton's handling and training of exotic animals.  Henry is recognized nationally for his work with exotic animals.  There is also a trading post and petting zoo.  Returning home after an enjoyable day.  Arriving back approximately 7:00 PM
