Georgia Aquarium
& The World of Coca-Cola
Atlanta, Georgia

1st Day:  Upon arrival in Atlanta, we will visit the CNN Studios for a guided tour.  In the global headquarters of the world’s news leader, CNN Studio Tour provides an up-close, in-depth view of delivering around-the-clock news to over a billion people around the globe. You will learn how newsroom personnel help create memorable broadcasts with amazing special effects techniques, and see first-hand what it takes to put together a news broadcast. Note:  This is a walking tour that requires climbing several flights of stairs. Next, we will head to the World of Coca-Cola.  Browse the world’s largest collection of memorabilia that celebrates the refreshing beverage that was created in Atlanta in 1886. While  Coca-Cola was first served at a small pharmacy soda fountain near Underground Atlanta, it is now served over 1 billion times a day and is enjoyed in over 200 countries across the globe.  After touring the World of Coca-Cola, we will check into our home for the night.

2nd Day:  This morning we will be going to the Georgia Aquarium. The Georgia Aquarium opened in November 2005 as the World’s Largest Aquarium.  With 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water, and more than 100,000 animals representing 500 species from around the globe, you’re sure to see things you’ve never seen before!  The exterior of the building was designed to look like a giant ship breaking through a wave.  As you enter the huge atrium inside the building, you will be led into the facility by “a wall of fish” guiding you inside.  You then have a choice of entering five galleries:  Georgia Explorer has a light house; River Scout displays a cascading waterfall; Cold Water Quest has an ice covered cliff; Ocean Voyager offers a peek window into the huge habitat; and Tropical Diver has two video screens displaying the perspective of a fish on a reef.  After lunch we will depart for home, arriving approximately 8:00 PM. Special Notice:  An optional tour you may wish to consider at the Georgia Aquarium is the Behind-the-Scenes Tour.  Explore the tropical waters and the mangroves at the top of the tropical diver exhibit. View the top of the beluga whale exhibit.  Discover the top of the largest ocean exhibit in North America (Ocean Voyager), and observe the world’s largest fish, the whale shark, as it swims below you.  Add to your adventure with this exciting experience.  Cost is $50 per person (subject to change).
