Grandfather Mountain & Blue Ridge Parkway

Upon arrival in Boone we will visit the Mast General Store, a renovated 1920's Department Store now selling crafts and general mercantile.  Afterwards, we will have lunch at the Dan'l Boone Inn.  After lunch we will ride on the Viaduct section of the Blue Ridge Parkway on our way to Grandfather Mountain, the Carolina's top scenic attraction.  At 5,964 feet, Grandfather Mountain is the highest mountain in the Blue Ridge Range.  Enjoy the spectacular scenery, animal habitats, exhibits and the breathtaking view from the Mile High Swinging Bridge.  Returning approximately 7:00 PM.  (L)
