North Carolina Winery Tour
Round Peak Vineyards, Shelton Vineyards & Old North State Winery

Today, we will be visiting and sampling some of the great wines of North Carolina. We’ll tour three Yadkin Valley Wineries:

Round Peak Vineyards - Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are 12 acres of vineyards producing eight French and Italian varieties. All of the award-winning wines are estate bottled, using only the grapes grown in their vineyard. A tour and tasting is included.

Shelton Vineyards – One of North Carolina’s largest vineyards. It is a family-owned estate winery owned by brothers Charles & Edwin Shelton. Take a tour of the winery and enjoy a wine tasting. Lunch is also included at the winery.

Old North State Winery – Located in a renovated 1890’s mercantile building in historic downtown Mount Airy. The winery is owned by two families and the vineyards were established on farms that have been in their families for generations. Included is a tour of their wine-making process, as well as a visit to their tasting room, where you can sample the wines and browse the gift shop featuring wine related and gourmet gift items.

Returning home after having spent a wonderful day sampling the wines of three of North Carolina’s greatest wineries. Arriving back approximately 7:00 PM. (L)
