1st Day: We will be traveling through Virginia, Maryland, Dela¬ware and into New Jersey to spend our first night in northern New Jersey.

2nd Day: This morning we will continue north into New York, on through Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and into Maine. The scenery is beautiful this time of year as the white birch trees show through the dark green fir trees. Our home tonight will be in Bangor, Maine. (CB)

3rd Day: This morning we will travel to Bar Harbor, Maine on Mount Desert Island, which has been called the "most beautiful island in the world." We will travel through Acadia National Park to the top of Cadillac Mountain for a spectacular view of mountains, lakes, forest and ocean before lunch (on your own) and a stop at St. Stephen, New Brunswick to let everyone purchase Canadian money. Then we head to St. John, New Brunswick where we will be visiting the Reversing Falls. The phenomenon of the Reversing Falls is caused by the tremendous rise and fall of the tides of the Bay of Fundy, which are the highest in the world. (CB)

4th Day: We will proceed north this morning through Moncton to Cape Tormentine. We will cross the 9-mile bridge over to Borden, Prince Edward Island and continue on to Charlottetown. This afternoon is free to do some shopping. Tonight we will have a Lobster Supper in the picturesque village of New Glasgow, situated on the banks of the scenic Clyde River. (CB,D)

5th Day: Today we will enjoy a guided tour of the Island. The most fascinating thing about Prince Edward Island is the color. It has lush green pastures sloping down to the deep blue Gulf of St. Lawrence with small fishing villages dotting the seacoast. And everywhere - red. The whole Island seems tinged with a red hue. Red cliffs, red sand dunes, red rocks and red soil. Prince Edward Island (PEI for short) is Canada's smallest province, 140 miles long and from 4 to 40 miles wide. (CB)
6th Day: A short ride this morning to the ferry at Wood Island. It is about 50 minutes across to Caribou, Nova Scotia. After we get off the ferry we will pass through New Glasgow and Antigonish on our way to Port Hawkesbury, where we will be for the next two nights. (CB)

7th Day: Today we will tour the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. This is one of the most beautiful drives you will ever take. Cape Breton Island is famed for the beauty of its natural scenery and its history. Cape Breton is one of the oldest European places named in American geography. Historians disagree on the origin. It may have been named by the Breton Fishermen who were here as early as 1504 or by French Basques after Cape Breton in the Bay of Biscay or by Cabot himself. We will also stop at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.

8th Day: We head out this morning for Halifax, Nova Scotia. Upon arrival we will enjoy a guided Halifax City Tour! This informative and fun-filled ride will immerse you in the history and culture of the city. Hear of Halifax’s war years and of the exploits and heroism of the citizens who lived through the devastating Halifax Explosion. View the Citadel Fort, Historic Properties, the Titanic Burial site, the Spring Garden Road area, Province House, Old Town Clock, St. Paul’s Church, City Hall, Grand Parade, Government House, the busy port, Point Pleasant Park, residential areas, the universities and much more, from tales of disaster and triumph to remarkable stories of everyday life. Discover the people and places that have made Halifax one of the most unique and captivating cities in North America! Checking into our hotel after the tour. Evening is free for your enjoyment.

9th Day: This morning we’ll head to the postcard-perfect village of Peggy’s Cove, which stands on granite rock high above the crashing Atlantic surf. Enjoy the outstanding views of Nova Scotia’s unique coastline, then explore the rocks visit the gift shops and wander through this artist’s and explorer’s paradise. You can even mail a postcard from the only lighthouse in North America with a post office within it! Lunch is also included at the Sou’wester Restaurant before we travel to Digby, where we will board the Princess of Acadia for a 2.5 hour ferry ride to St. John, New Brunswick. Dinner is included on the ferry. Upon arrival we will check into our home for the night. (L, D)

10th Day: Today, we will travel back into the U.S. on our way to Portland, ME. En route, we will stop at the L.L. Bean Flagship Store in Freeport, ME. This store has been located on Main Street since 1917 and is the first and largest L.L. Bean store. The L.L. Bean Hunting and Fishing Store is adjacent to the flagship store. After our L.L. Bean adventure, we will continue on to Portland. Evening is free for your enjoyment. (CB)

11th Day: This morning we will visit the Portland Head Lighthouse to view it and take pictures before heading to King of Prussia, PA. We will be traveling south via Hartford, Connecticut and New York City. Evening is free for your enjoyment. (CB)
12th Day: Good morning! Have breakfast and board the coach for our return trip home. We should be arriving back approximately 7:00 PM. (CB)
